Bubba Wallace became a first-time NASCAR Cup SeriesTM winner with the victory in the rainshortened YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Driving the No. 23 McDonald’s Toyota Camry for first-year team 23XI Racing, Wallace was out front when the race’s final yellow flag flew for a multi-car incident. The rain began under the caution period and brought the race to a close 71 laps short of its scheduled distance.
