Kaulig Racing driver AJ Allmendinger picked up his second NASCAR Xfinity Series® road course victory of the 2022 season with a dramatic performance at Portland International Raceway.
In the series’ debut at the 1.967-mile Oregon road course, Allmendinger started at the rear of the field due to pre-race adjustments, went off course multiple times, and lost a lap early in the rain-soaked race. Still, the veteran racer remained undeterred and worked his way back through the field to take the lead for the final time with just four laps remaining.
