Ross Chastain led only one lap of the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, but it was the last and most important circuit of them all as the Trackhouse Racing driver scored his second victory of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series® season.
Driving the No. 1 Moose Fraternity Chevrolet Camaro, Chastain was in the third position on the race’s final lap when the two cars ahead of him slid up the track. With the door open, Chastain drove past them both and kept all challengers behind him to the checkered flag.
