Ryan Blaney earned his second NASCAR Cup SeriesTM victory of the 2021 season at Michigan
International Speedway in a frantic late-race run to the checkered flag.
Blaney’s No. 12 Menards / Cardell Ford Mustang rocketed to the lead with eight laps remaining. From there, he kept the rest of the field at bay down the stretch as several competitors took their shots at stealing the victory away. Blaney crossed the finish line 0.077-seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, which set a record for the closest finish in modern Michigan International Speedway history
